2023 ICM-Wetlands, Vegetation, and Soils Model Improvements

For this project, I coordinated a team of diverse researchers to review literature and assess existing Coastwide Reference Monitoring System spatial data to recommend improvements on representation of wetland vegetation and soil organic matter accumulation and accretion rates for entire coastal area of Louisiana. Improved representation of wetland vegetation for use in habitat suitability indices for important ecological resources such as: brown shrimp, blue crabs, and brown pelicans.
