I was the Director of LA-COE and lead the management of this competitive coastal research funding program to facilitate the production of applied research results relevant to implementation of Louisiana’s Coastal Master Plan. I worked closely with coastal resource scientists at Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, which is an important partnership, that is cooperator driven to ensure the applied research results from researchers across the State of Louisiana inform management needs.
